She married Chase Sprague McCord 1916 in Hackleburg, Marion Co., AL. Chase was born October 13, 1886 in Montgomery, Montgomery Co., AL. Chase died July 3, 1938 in Montgomery, Montgomery Co., AL. Lucille was diagnosed as deaf at an early age in Atlanta, and was then sent to the deaf Institute in Talladga, Al for training.

Eddie Lucille Matthews and Chase Sprague McCord had the following children:
