Richard died September 28, 2000 in Boise, Ada Co., ID. OBIT: POCATELLO Richard W. Bud Mittelstedt, 73, formerly of Pocatello, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2000, at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Boise, Idaho, following an illness. He was born January 25, 1927, in Rupert, Idaho, the son of Richard Henry and Charlotte Irene Jones Mittelstedt. His family moved from Rupert to Hawkins Basin to farm when he was a child. He attended schools in Hawkins Basin and Arimo. He married Della Mae Wheeler on July 3, 1947, in Butte, Montana. She died on October 7, 1994. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. Bud joined the Navy in January 1945 and served in the Pacific Theater. He lived in Fresno, California, and Idaho Falls, Idaho, prior to coming back to Pocatello. He worked for an irrigation sprinkler company in Idaho Falls and then worked several years as a heavy equipment operator on various construction projects in the Western States. At one time he had his private pilots license. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, four-wheeling and going to the cabin in Hawkins Basin. He is survived by a stepmother, Jane Mittelstedt of Blackfoot; two sons, Richard William (Terri Lynn) Mittelstedt and Randy J. Mittelstedt, all of Pocatello; four daughters, Beverly Kay Glynn, Renee (Don) Bentley, Cyndi (Rodney) Evans, all of Boise, Idaho; Lorriane Collins of Mississippi; two sisters, Dorothy (Bud) Dallings, Ogden, Utah; Elaine (Gaylene) Harris, McCammon, Idaho; two stepsisters, Billie Jo Mittelstedt of Blackfoot and Uthana (Robert) Hibbs, Fort Hall; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one granddaughter. Funeral graveside services will be held Monday, October 2, 2000, at 11 a.m. at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Pocatello. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, October 1, 2000, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave., Pocatello, and Monday from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. - Idaho State Journal, Obituaries, 1 Oct 2000

He married Della Mae Wheeler July 3, 1947 in Butte, Silver Bow Co., MT. Della was born June 30, 1928 in Moreland, Bingham Co., ID. Della was the daughter of Edward Wheeler and Irma (___). Della died October 7, 1994 in Pocatello, Bannock Co., ID. Della was buried in Restlawn Memorial Cemetery, Pocatello, ID
