Max died December 29, 2002 in Bradenton, Manatee Co., FL. OBIT: Max Lee Beane, 75, Bradenton, died Dec. 29, 2002. He was born Sept. 28, 1927, in Fountain County, Ind., and came to Manatee County in 1972 from Crawfordsville, Ind. He was a mechanic at Tropicana Products in Bradenton for 20 years. He was a past member of the Civil Air Patrol for 10 years. He was past president of AFL-CIO in Crawfordsville. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a daughter, Sharon Brown of Asheboro, N.C.; stepdaughters Brenda Harkrider and Becky Todd, both of Bradenton, and Vickie Williams of Midwest City, Okla.; sons Stephen of Oklahoma City, Larry of Bradenton and Bill of Orlando; stepsons Terry Gill Sr. of Bradenton, Jerry Harkrider of Norman, Okla., and Mark Harkrider and David Harkrider, both of Moore, Okla.; a sister, Gecka J. Long of Crawfordsville; a brother, John of Bosworth, Mo.; two grandchildren; 22 stepgreat-grandchildren; and 21 stepgreat- great-grandchildren. No local visitation is scheduled. Services were private. Covell Cremation and Funeral Center of Bradenton is in charge.
He married twice. He married Barbara Lou (___). Barbara was born 1935. He married Shirley Joan Ehrie. Shirley was born September 19,1936 in Richland, Fountain Co., IN. Shirley is the daughter of John W. Ehrie and Anna E. Wakeland.
