He married Virginia Louise Woods in Red Oak, IA. Virginia was born November 15, 1915 in Barlett Fremont Co., IA. Virginia was the daughter of Donald W. Woods and Bernice Louise Carlson. Virginia died February 3, 2005 in Tabor, Fremont Co., IA. OBIT: Virginia Louise (Woods) Maxwell, 89, of Tabor died Feb. 3 at Tabor Manor.
She was born in Montgomery County and lived in Tabor. She was a member of the First Christian Church and CWF.
Mrs. Maxwell was preceded in death by her husband, Oakley "Lloyd" Maxwell, in July 2002, and by a daughter, Dianna Louise Lorimor of Tabor.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Darlene Carnes of Carrollton, Texas, Shirley A. Hill-Marshall of Council Bluffs and Marsha Jean Sowers of Emerson.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. with the family and continued until 8 p.m. at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Tabor. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church in Tabor. Burial will be in Tabor Cemetery.
Memorials may be offered to the American Cancer Society or First Christian Church Building Fund.
Oakley Lloyd Maxwell and Virginia Louise Woods had the following children:
