Glenn died April 10, 2009 in Riverdale, Fresno Co. CA. OBIT: Glenn was born in Riverdale, Ca. and passed away at the age of 96. He was preceded in death by Roberta, his wife of 63 years; and his son Roger.
He was a chicken rancher for 65 years and peddled eggs in areas around Coalinga, Huron, Lanare, Burrel, Helm, Hanford and West Fresno. He was known as "the egg man" to most people.
He will be remembered for his honesty and hard work, and his kindness and generosity to others.
We will miss his positive attitude about life and his wonderful sense of humor.
Glenn is survived by his three daughters, Frances Bettencourt and her husband Don of Hanford, Ruth Fritz and her husband Tom of Riverdale, and Kathryn Schumacher and her husband Denis of Independence, Ky.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He married Roberta Frances Gaston September 6, 1940 in Grants Pass, Josephine Co., OR. Roberta was born April 1, 1913 in Freemont, IA. Roberta was the daughter of Myron Clinton Gaston and Emily Jane Colby. Roberta died April 17, 2003 in Riverdale, Fresno Co. CA. Obit: Graveside services for Roberta Frances McNary, 90, of Riverdale will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Grove Cemetery. Mrs. McNary, a homemaker, died Thursday. Remembrances may be sent to Riverdale United Methodist Church, 20721 Malsbary, Riverdale, CA 93656 or Hinds Hospice, 1616 W. Shaw Ave., Suite B-6, Fresno, CA 93711. Arrangements are under the direction of Wallin's Riverdale Funeral Home.
