Gladys died August 1948. OBIT: Gladys was born on a farm in Atlas Township, Pike County, Illinois. She was not given a middle name at birth so she could later choose her own. She selected "Belle" as her middle name after her grandmother, Missouri Belle Cline Hamner.

Gladys later moved with her family to Rockport, Illinois where they lived in a home which housed the telephone office. Her mother was the operator. Her father died of cancer when Gladys was 9 years old.

Gladys was married 3 times. Her first husband was Arthur E. Lippincott. They had two children: Arthur Elwood Lippincott, Jr. and Charles Delbert Lippincott. Her second marriage was to Jack Kenny and her third was to Carl Breisacher.

Gladys died as a result of a car and trailer accident on her way home from a vacation in Florida.

She married three times. She married Arthur Elwood Lippincott. She married Jack Kenny. She married Carl Breisacher February 22,1935. Carl was the son of Charles Breisacher and Anna Hartman.

Gladys Belle Hamner and Arthur Elwood Lippincott had the following children:
