Patricia died May 7, 2008 Greeley, Weld Co., CO. OBIT: Patricia Ruth MILLER , 69 of Walsenburg died on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at the Hospice and Palliative Care in Greeley. She was born on March 7, 1939, in Hardin, Illinois, to Harold and Mable (Hamner) Drummond. In 1957, she graduated from Pleasant Hills High School in Pleasant Hills, Illinois. She later attended Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. In 1960, she moved to Longmont, Colorado.
Patricia married Galen L. Miller on April 14, 1960. They lived in Longmont until 1980, when they moved to Greeley. The couple moved to Walsenburg in 2006 from Greeley.
Mrs. Miller enjoyed traveling and camping. Pat and Galen were members of The Millennium Mavericks, Goodtimers WEI and the Runaways camping clubs. She enjoyed the social aspect of these clubs, and the friends that she made there were like extended family to her. She was most proud of her family and was known as a loving wife, mother and grandma. She taught all of her children and grandchildren how to fish, and she loved gardening.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Galen Miller of Walsenburg; a daughter and her husband, Teri and Russ Segelke of Greeley; two sons, Christopher Miller of Walsenburg and Ron Miller and his fianc?e, Tammy McNitt, both of Westminster; her grandchildren, Nate and Jeremy Segelke of Greeley, Tyler Miller of Westminster and Jordan Meade-Miller of Walsenburg; two nieces, Linda Morris of Greeley and Lisa Pauley and her husband, Jeff of Berthoud; and two nephews, Bill Grove and his wife, Kay, and Jerry Grove and his wife, Patti, all of Longmont.
She was preceded in death by a her parents, Harold and Mable Drummond; and a son, Timothy Dale Miller.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel.
