Kelly died September 25, 2005 in Winston-Salem, Forsyth Co., NC. OBIT: Kelly Scott Hoots, 39, of Winston-Salem passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, at his residence. He was born Aug. 13, 1966, to Jane McSwain Hoots, who predeceased him, and Kelly Garland Hoots and. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lynn Shuler. Survivors include his wife of seven years, Melissa Coltrane Hoots; his father, and daughter, Kristen Hoots, both of Florida; brother, Gregory Hoots of Winston-Salem; a niece; and several aunts and uncles. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. today, Sept. 28, at Davis Chapel at Baptist Hospital, with a celebration of life following at 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative CareCenter, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
