7498 viii. Rodney Shane. Staggs was born in Vermillion Co., IN Septembe 30, 1954. Rodney died January 6, 2007 in Marion, Grant Co., IN. Obit: Rodney S. Staggs, 52, passed away at 11:05 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2007, in the Marion VA Medical Center.
Rodney was born September, 30, 1954, in Vermillion County, Indiana, to the late Vernon W. and Margaret (Dazy) Staggs. Rodney served in the Army, and after successful completion of training, he was assigned to the 9th Infantry Division at Fort Lewis, Washington. The 9th Infantry was one of the Army's more elite divisions. Rodney was a member of the Marion VFW.
Family includes two brothers, Larry Staggs, Sebring, Fla.; Steven Staggs, Elkhart; four sisters, Karen (Thomas) Britton Fletcher, Elkhart; Francis (Robert) Delegrage, Goshen; Lana S. (Joseph) Britton Reagin, Terre Haute; Connie (Tim) Rigby, Elkhart; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley and Jimmy Staggs.
Funeral services will be at 10:30a.m. Wednesday in the Protestant Chapel of the Marion VA Medical Center, 1700 E. 38th St., with Chaplain James McConnell officiating. Burial with full military rites will be in Marion National Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m until the time of the service Wednesday at the chapel.
Casey Lloyd Funeral Home, 2901 S. Washington St., handled arrangements.
He married Susan Kaye Hoffman Mattucci February 12, 1996 in Marion Co., IN.
Susan was born February 1 1946 in Alexandria, IN. Susan was the daughter of Leroy W Hoffman and Ruby L Lee. Susan died March 1, 2003 in Gaston, Delaware Co., IN.
7499 ix. Steven K. Staggs was born April 18, 1955. Steven died May 11, 1999 in Sarasota Co., FL.
