She married Ernest Britt January 31, 1931. Ernest was born March 3, 1901. Ernest was the son of Perry Britt and Nelia Smith. Ernest died October 16, 1986 in Lincoln Co., MS. Ernest was buried in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Lincoln Co., MS. The 1930 census showed that Bernice was widowed at the time with two children.
