Martha (Marti) Ann¹⁰ Hutchens (Homer Lee⁹, Mary Jane⁸ (___), Samuel⁷ Hutchens, Lettie⁶ Allgood, William (Pikey) Henry⁵, William John⁴, Edward³, William², Edward¹ Algood) was born in Forsyth Co., NC January 14, 1947. Martha died October 4, 2007 in Forsyth Co., NC. OBIT: Mrs. Martha "Marti" Hutchens Jones, 60, passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Forsyth County on Jan. 14, 1947, to the late Homer Lee and Pauline Evans Hutchens. Marti was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 20 years where she was a member of the Ashby-Gilbert-Sylvester Bible fellowship class. She was instrumental in assisting many pastors at Calvary and especially Dr. Mark Corts in starting and sustaining the Tarheel Leadership Network. Marti also volunteered in numerous capacities at the church. She was a loving, dedicated wife of 40 years, and a dedicated mother. Marti will be remembered as a giving, caring, compassionate person who could find the best in everyone. Surviving are her husband, David; her daughter, Donna Jones Mills, and husband Bryan of High Point; her brother, Donald Wayne Hutchens, and wife Dorothy of Georgia; and brother-in-law Tom Jones and wife Doris of Denton. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Hardy officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Gardens in Clemmons. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 6, at the funeral home.

She married David Jones. David was the son of Elvin Jones and Ruby Caudle.
