Esther died May 30, 2008 in Springfield, MO. OBIT: Esther Colleen Gauthier, 76, of Monett, died May 30, 2008, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, following an extended illness.
She was born June 19, 1931 in Cambridge City, Ind., the daughter of James Edward and Della Mae Adkins Davis. She had owned and operated a restaurant in Indiana, and managed restaurants in Houston, Texas, and in Monett. She moved to Purdy in 1982, and moved to Monett in 2000. She married Ken Gauthier in 1973 in Houston, Texas, and he survives.
Additional survivors include: three daughters, Sharon Fike, of Garrett, Ind., Pamela Baughman of Newark, Ohio, and Deborah Welch of Muncie, Ind.; two sisters, Ruth Hall of Vandalia, Ohio, and Ethel Mae Swigart, of Cambridge City, Ind.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The body has been donated to the University of Missouri Department of Medicine. No services are planned.
Esther Colleen Davis and Kenneth (Ken) James Gauthier had the following children:
