Lewis died August 15, 2006 in Cordell, Washita Co., OK. OBIT: Graveside services for Lewis Allen Hutchins, age 79 of Cordell, have been set for 10 a.m. Saturday in the Lawnview Cemetery at Cordell with Rev. Buck Nicholson officiating.
Hutchins died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, in Vernon, Texas. He was born on Oct. 15, 1926 in Texola, the son of Joe and Virgina (Armfield) Hutchins.
He graduated high school in 1944 and married Virgina Sumpter on Oct. 14, 1946.
Hutchins worked as an airline engineer and was a member of the American Legion.
Preceding him in death were a daughter, Debra Brent Hutchins; and a brother, James Hutchins.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Jack Loftiss Funeral Home in Cordell.
Survivors include his wife, Virgina, of the home; three sons, Joe Frank Hutchins and his wife, Donna, of Simi Valley, Calif., Michael Allen Hutchins and his wife, Sandi, of Battle Ground, Wash., Jerry Armfield Hutchins of Vancouver, Wash.; a sister, Claire L. Smith of Cordell; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
