Frankie died May 22, 2009 in Amarillo, Potter Co., TX. OBIT: Frankie Morris Hunter, 99, of Amarillo died Sunday, March 22, 2009.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Llano Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Hunter was born Dec. 7, 1909, in Rush Springs, Okla., the sixth of nine children born to Lee and Margaret Simons Morris. Her childhood was spent in Bulcher, Cooke County, before the family moved to Halfway in 1924. She had been a resident of Amarillo for more than 70 years.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Craig Windflower Skilled Nursing Unit, who lovingly cared for Frankie during the past four years.
She was preceded in death by a son, Rusty Sevier Gros.
Survivors include a son, Roy Lee Hunter of Amarillo; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She married twice. She married Bluford Lee Hunter. Bluford was born September 26, 1902 in Coleman Co., TX. Bluford was the son of Enoch Hunter and Cynthia Edna Adams. Bluford died August 22, 1984 in Amarillo, Potter Co., TX. She married Carl Servier. Carl is the son of Edd Sevier and Rose (___).
