Harold died April 11, 2005 in Henderson, Henderson Co., KY. OBIT: Harold "Shorty" Gilmore, 85, Henderson, died Monday, April 11, 2005, at his home.
He was a retired farmer and a World War II U.S. Army Air Force veteran. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Hebbardsville where he served as a deacon. He also coached girls and women's softball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Leslie and Beulah Allgood Gilmore.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Gilmore; one daughter, Lois Gilmore of Henderson; one son, Harold Leslie Gilmore of Henderson; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Revs. Russell Wood and Don Berry will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
Harold Gelmore and Christine Newman had the following children:
