He married Catherine Vetra Mcmahon January 23,1948 in Norfolk, Norfolk Co., VA. Catherine was born March 21,1920. Catherine was the daughter of James Derrickson Vetra and Catherine Mickle. Catherine died Februry 21, 2010 in Chesapeake, Chesapeake Cio, VA. OBIT:Catherine Vetra Allgood CHESAPEAKE - Catherine Vetra Allgood, formerly of Norfolk, met her Lord on Feb. 21, 2010. Her husband, Charles, predeceased her. Left to cherish her memory are a son and daughter-in- law, Linwood and Karyle McMahon; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Randy Jones; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Carl Vetra. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Sentara Village, Chesapeake, for their love and care the last seven years of her life. A celebration of her life will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake.
