He married Odell Carter. Odell was born December 12, 1925 in Baskenville, Meclenberg Co., VA. Odell was the daughter of Thomas Edwin Carter and Lula Beck Cooper. Odell died December 31, 2009 in Chase City, Mecklenburg Co., VA. OBIT: Mrs. Odell Carter Owen, age 84 of Chase City, died December 31, 2009. She was a retired employee of Harris Teeter, a member of First Baptist Church and a long time choir member, a member of Chase City American Legion Post 43 Auxillary and a member of Chase City Rescue Squad Auxillary. She was the widow of Frank E. Owen and was predeceased by a son, Frank E. Owen, Jr. Mrs. owen is survived by her children, Kay Lacy and husband, Bruce, of Concord, N. C., Ronnie Owen and wife, Ann, of Skipwith, Bruce Owen and wife, Connie, of Chase City, brothers, Pete Carter of Chase City, Drewey Carter and Preston Carter of Boydton, sister, Dean Gosney of Blockridge, seven grandchildren, Brandon Lacy, Kristina Ford, Matthew Owen, Tyler Owen, Blake Jones, Lindsey Jones, Alex Owen, and great grandchild, Owen Lacy.
Funeral services were held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Burris and the Rev. Brandon Ives officiating. Interment followed in Woodland Cemetery.
Frank Edgar Owen and Odell Carter had the following children:
