Newton died November 30, 2014 in Keene, Johnson Co., TX. OBIT: Roy Ward, 80, of Burleson passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 in Keene. He was born November 3, 1934 in Blum, Hill County, Texas to Roy Harris and Leta Euberta McNatt Ward. He married Anna Fay Sessums in Johnson County.

He worked at Union Pacific Railroad, retiring with 40 years of service. He also worked for the Fort Worth Police Dept. Reserve Unit for 42 years, Miller Veterinarian Supply for 47 years, White Settlement Police Dept. Reserve and as a Fort Worth Deputy Constable, also farmed and ranched. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 942, Shriner Moslah Temple Provost Unit and was a 32 degree Mason. He was also a member of Garden Acres Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Anna Fay Ward; son, Roy Glenn Ward; daughters, Darla Key and Karla Moody; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers, Don Ward and Mike Ward; sisters, Shirley Moseley and Rhonda Long. He was preceded in death by his parents, R.H. “Buss” and Leta Ward and sisters, Wanda Hutcheson and Leta Collier.

Service will be conducted Thursday, December 4, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.

He married Anna Fay Sessums in Johnson Co., TX.

Newton Roy Ward and Anna Fay Sessums had the following children:
