Ivy died February 28,1989 in Floyd Co., GA. OBIT: Ivey Felton Mundy, Jr., age 76, of 423 Euharlee Street, Rockmart, died Tuesday, February 28, in a Rome hospital. A native of Rockmart, Mr. Munday was born June 16, 1912 and was a son of the late Ivey Felton Mundy, Sr., and Minnie Allgood Mundy. A retired supervisor with New Berry Mill, Inc. of Newberry, S.C., Mr. Munday formerly worked with Julliard Manufacturing in Rome and the United Merchants Manufacturing Company of Aragon. He was a member of the Yarrab Shrine Temple in Atlanta, the Yourk Rite Masonic Bodies of Rome and the Davitte Masonic Lodge of Aragon. He was a graduate of Rockmart High School and attendd Western Kentucky University of Bolling Green, Ky. Mr. Munday was a member of the Rockmart First United Methodist Church. His wife, Mrs. Mildred Kerce Mundy, preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Jane Mundy Threatt, Troy, Mich.; two grandchildren, Skip Threatt and Miss Mundy Threatt, both of Troy, Mich.; two brothers, W. Clay Munday, Sr. of Americus and Mr. M. Lee Mundy, Sr., of Pensacola, Fla. Funeral services was held Thursday, March 2, at 2 p.m. at the Rockmart First United Methodist Church. Dr. Gil Watson and the Rev. Tom Lanford officiated and interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery. The pallbearers included Skip Threatt, Joe Campbell, Billy Mundy, Ralph Akins, Raymond Lester, John D. Brown and Warren Mundy. The Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
He married Mikldred Kerce. Mikldred was born May 8, 1912 in Rome, Floyd Co., GA. Mikldred was the daughter of George Alexander and Minnie Lampkin. Mikldred died March 19, 1988 in Rockmart, Polk Co., GA. OBIT: Mrs. Mildred Kerce Munday, 75, of 423 Euharlee Street, died Saturday, March 19. Mrs. Munday was born in Rome on May 8, 1912 and was the daughter of the late George Alexander and Nettie Lumpkin Kerce. She was retired supervisor of the Rockmart High Schol and Aragon School lunchrooms. Mrs. Mundy was a graduate of the Rockmart High School and was a member of the Rockmart First United Methodist Church. She was a avid botanist and was a member of the Rockmart, Rome and Newberry, S.C. Garden Clubs. Surviving are her husband, Felton Mundy, Jr., Rockmart; one daughter, Mrs. Jane Munday Threatt, Troy, Mich.,; one grandson, Skip Threat, Troy and one granddaughter, Miss Mundy Threatt, Troy. Funeral services were held Monday, March 21, at 2 p.m. at the Rockmart First United Methodist Church with Dr. G. Gill Watson and Rev. Tom Lanford officiating. Interment followed in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ralph Akins, John D. Brown, Joe Campbell, Raymond Lester, Lee Mundy and Perry Threatt. The Freeman Harris Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
