586. Samuel8 Staggs (Rachel7 Allgood, Spencer6, Edward5, William4 Algood, Edward3 Allgood, William2, Edward1 Algood) was born in IN September 10,1858. Samuel died January 28, 1932 in Waveland, Parke Co., IN.
He married Sarah H. Youny 1886 in IN. Sarah was born October 2, 1868 in Waveland, Montgomery Co., IN. Sarah died February 1931 in Byron, Parke Co., IN. OBIT: Mrs. Samuel Staggs died at her home near Byron at half-past nine on Thursday morning, following a paralystic stroke on Saturday. Her maiden name was Shirley Ann Young, a sister of Morton Yount, and she was born in Waveland October 2, 1968. She is survived by the husband and five children: Edgar, Thomas, Abraham, Grace and Mrs. Nellie Taylor. Funeral services will be held at the Byron Wesleyan church at 2 o'clock, Saturday afternoon

2358 ii. Nellie Belle Staggs was born in Parke Co., IN February 2,1889. Nellie died December 25, 1974 in Crawfordsville, Montgomery Co., IN. She married Grant Taylor November 17, 1908 in Rockville, Parke Co., IN. Grant was born March 27, 1885 in Byron, Parke Co., IN. Grant was the son of Samuel Taylor and Nancy A Paddock. Grant died February 6, 1956.
2359 iii. Abraham Staggs was born December 17, 1892.
2360 iv. Grace V. Staggs was born in IN October 14, 1894. Grace died April 29, 1984 in La Fontaine, Wabash Co., IN. OBIT: Grace V. Staggs, 89, Marion, died at 9:40 p.m. Sunday, April, 29, at Shangrila Nursing Home in Marion. She had been a resident there the past five years.
Born October 14, 1894 in Parke County, she was the daughter of Samuel and Sarah H. Young Staggs. She was a registered nurse and had also done private duty nursing. She was a member of the Nelson Street Wesleyan Church of Marion.
Surviving is a brother, James Thomas of Marshall.
Services were conducted Thursday at Machledt and Servies Funeral Home in Waveland with Rev. Hugh Dooley officiating. Burial was in Bethany Cemetery.
2361 v. James Thomas Staggs was born in Parke Co., IN November 23, 1897. James died September 11, 1984 in Kingman, Fountain Co., IN. He married Beulah L Woodrow May 10, 1924 in Fountain Co., IN. Beulah was born February 5, 1901 in Fountain City, IN. Beulah was the daughter of John Isaac Woodrow and Margaret M Simmons. Beulah died September 26, 1971 in Fountain Co., IN.
