OBIT: Services for Ada Case Evans of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, Dec. 20, from 5-9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until service time at Brookhaven Funeral Home. Mrs. Evans, 76, died Dec. 19, 2000, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. She was born in Lincoln County on May 29, 1923, to Gus Case and Betty Smith Case. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Brock Parson Evans; her infant daughter, Venturia; her sisters, Ruth Case, Jessie Arrington, Gladys Allgood, and Clara V. Ballard; and her brother, James Case. Survivors are her son, David Evans of Brookhaven; her daughters, Betty Jones of Prentiss, Sharon Calhoun of Brookhaven, and Nancy Sutton of Bogue Chitto; her sisters, Bessie Smith and Gussie Smith, both of Brookhaven; and 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She married Brock Parson Evans.
