Peggy died February 22, 2009 in Mooreland, Woodward Co., OK. OBIT: Peggy Woolf, 84 year old Mooreland resident, died Sunday, February 22, 2009 in the Grace Living Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Mooreland with Reverend Gaylon Cox and Reverend Jeff Swigart officiating. Interment will follow in the Mooreland Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Receiving of friends will be held at Billings Funeral Home in Woodward on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Peggy Lenorah (Bryant) Woolf was born on November 11, 1924 near Mangum, Oklahoma to Olie and Stella (Penrod) Bryant. She graduated from Centralvue High School in 1942. Peggy was united in marriage to Clyde Lee Woolf on May 18, 1952. Peggy taught school at Centralvue, City View, Willow, Seiling, Dill City, Sayre, and Mooreland. Peggy retired from Mooreland Public Schools in 1991 having taught for a total of twenty-seven and one half years.
She is survived by four daughters, Jann Dickens and husband Randy of Big Spring, Texas; Lois Donaldson and husband Harry of Arlington, Virginia; Beth Kitchens and husband Joe of Borger, Texas; Betty Oblander and husband Gary of Woodward; one son Clyde Lynn Woolf; one brother, Edward Bryant and wife Jerla; one sister, Patsy Reeves and husband Leland; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde, her parents; Olie and Stella Bryant, two sisters, June Summers and Betty Parker; one brother, Steve Bryant.
She married Clyde Lee Woolf May 18, 1952 in Tucumcari, NM. Clyde was born March 18, 1929 in Washita Co., OK. Clyde was the son of Oscar Woolf and Cledia Magdalene Head. Clyde died February 21, 2009 in Woodward, Woodward Co., OK. OBIT: The funeral for Clyde Lee Woolf, 79, of Mooreland, will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at First Baptist Church, Mooreland. The Revs. Jeff Swigart and Gaylon Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Mooreland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Billings Funeral Home, Woodward. Family visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at the funeral home.
He was born March 18, 1929, in Washita County to Oscar and Cledia Magdalene Head Woolf and died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at Grace Living Center.
He graduated from Dill City High School in 1947. He enlisted in the Navy Dec. 9, 1950. He served on the USS Essex and the USS Randolph and was honorably discharged Sept. 16, 1954.
He married Peggy Lenorah Bryant May 18, 1952, in Tucumcari, N.M. They moved to Mooreland in 1964 where he worked for Western Farmers, retiring in 1992. He was a member of American Legion.
Surviving are four daughters, Jann Dickens of Big Spring, Texas, Lois Donaldson of Arlington, Va., Beth Kitchens of Borger, Texas, and Betty Oblander of Woodward; one son, Clyde Lynn Woolf of Elk City; one sister, Olene Woolf; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother. His wife of 56 years, Peggy, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009.
